Shane Howe, 27, has been under investigation since the Quarryville police were called to a house in the 300 block of West Stanton Road on Dec. 2 2022, according to the police release.

That officer then recovered "physical evidence" of the assault from the girl's room, as stated in the release.
"A safety plan was initiated by Children and Youth and the victim was removed from the residence," the police said.
Over the next seven months, the Quarryville Police executed several search warrants which including search warrants for DNA— which were forensically analyzed and found to match "other genetic material left behind by Howe," according to the release.
The girl was later forensically interviewed and her statements "corroborate the physical evidence recovered," police said.
